Van Insurance Customers Opting for Second Hand Vehicles
Latest figures reveal that more and more Van Insurance clients are opting for second hand vehicles. The latest survey results of Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) reveal that the sale of commercial vehicles dropped by 65.2% in April to a mere 7,655 units in a month. Among the total units manufactured in a month, only 1,924 units of commercial vehicles were produced in the UK However, despite the gloomy picture, SMMT is hopeful that the global market will soon revive.
Paul Everitt, chief executive of SMMT commented that schemes like scrappage incentive which would be fully operational will give the industry a major boost and facilitate the growth in the UK market. |
