Van Insurance Customers Advised to Buy Correct Tyres
Van and Car Insurance customers have been warned against choosing the wrong kind of tyres for their cars. Commenting on this, Tyresafe said that since motor parts can be purchased online these days, many customers unknowingly purchase wrong tyres. Some people go on to buy tyres with the wrong load index, lower speed symbol or even the wrong tyre size. Stuart Jackson, chairman of Tyresafe said that though purchasing online is definitely cheaper, yet one should not compromise on safety. One can put the safety of other road drivers at risk by driving a tyre with lower speed symbol. Mr Jackson also added that wrong tyres could cause exaggerated sidewall or wear cracking. Tyre pressure should be checked once a month and also inspect their van for bumps or stones. |
