Saga, specialist insurance cover for people over 50 reminded customers that motor homes are not covered by standard car or home insurance policies. You can take cover for caravans attached at the back of the cover under third party insurance protection but damage and theft are not covered. Andrew Goodsell of the Saga Group said that dedicated to the Caravan Insurance is equally important as car breakdown cover, especially as the holiday vehicles often contain expensive items.
