Good news for Saga Insurance customers! Saga car insurance has included garage bills to its car breakdown service. Breakdown Repair which is an add-on to Saga’s Breakdown Assistance allows customers to cover the cost of garage bills and replacement parts up to a value of ₤500, if they fail to continue the journey in the event of a breakdown. It includes cover of most common breakdown causes like faulty battery, faults with alternator and head gasket.
Saga Breakdown Assistance helps almost ₤50,000 motorists every year with roadside assistance and though eight out of ten breakdowns can be repaired at the roadside, many still have to be taken to garages. In the recent times, breakdown bills are increasing as more and more people are still holding to their old cars in times of recession. Saga’s Breakdown Repair which costs ₤6.86 per month offers a “seamless service” to its customers. Chief executive Andrew Goodsell of Saga said that though people over 50s generally tend to take good care of their cars, breakdowns can happen to any and can be a cause of inconvenience.
