Saga Travel Insurance
Saga offers single trip, annual multi trip travel insurance for the people above the age of 50. There is no upper age limit. There is an option to add Scuba cover, winter sports and golf cover. One can cover one’s family and friends of any age with various discounts available. Policy benefits include 24-hour emergency assistance. Medical expenses up to 10,000,000 pounds are covered in this policy. Travel assistance service is provided before and during the trip.
For Single trip policies all the destinations are applicable and it is an up to 90 days’ cover per single trip policy. For annual multi-trip policies there are various Saga Travel Insurance policies depending on the destinations. If one travels within Europe then the policy is for 45 days per trip as a standard but it can be extended to 60 or 90 days. If one is travelling worldwide excluding USA, Canada, Mexico and all Caribbean Islands then again the cover is for 45 days trip in a standard format but extensible to 60 or 90 days. For worldwide destinations the policy is a standard 45 days’ cover per trip. There is a limit of 120 days total cover per policy year.
Cancellation is covered with a limit of 5000 pounds per insured person. Missed departure amounts to 1000 pounds while delayed baggage is also included which gives 250 pounds. Other features included in the travel Saga Insurance policy are emergency medical and associated expenses, hospital benefit, personal accident, criminal injury benefit etc. Loss of passport is entitled to 350 pounds while personal money is limited to 500 pounds. Hijack and mugging, pet care, air rage and replacement flight are also covered in the policy. Legal expenses and advice has a limit set to 50,000 pounds. Apart from these if one opts for winter sports, golf and scuba diving then equipment are also covered.
