Saga has come up with Saga pet insurance. Depending on the level of cover one chooses one gets a good amount to pay for unexpected vet bills. It can amount to as high as 5,000 pounds per year. In addition to that Saga pet insurance provides up to 2 million pounds third party liability. Up to 250 pounds are available in cases of stolen or lost pets. This amount includes advertising as well as reward costs. There is a 5% introductory discount available. There are basically three types of cover available with Saga. Saver, Essential and Super are the three types.
Saver - This is basic level of Saga Pet Insurance cover. It provides up to 2,000 pounds for the treatment of each illness or injury. The facility is for 12 months and there are many other benefits available in this plan.
Essential - This policy cover provides up to 1,000 pounds a year for vet fees and it also includes “cover for life”. Essential plan also offers several additional benefits including travel expenses.If one’s pet causes road accident or damages someone else’s property then the legal liability is taken care of. Also if vet refers one’s pet to some other place then travel expenses are also covered.
Super - This one claims to provide Saga’s highest level of protection. It is also a “cover for life”. It includes up to 5,000 pounds per year for vet fees. This also provides valuable assistance with many other costs. Accidental damage to the property is also included in this cover.Renewal of policy is required each year if one opts for life cover or “cover for life”. The condition to avail pet Saga Insurance cover is that the age of pet should be below eight while taking the policy. It proves to be beneficial in cases of ailments like Diabetes.
