Surge in People Faking Injury for Getting Compensation
A survey of GPs demonstrated that more and more people are faking injury for getting compensation. Another survey from LV Car Insurance revealed that people show a liking towards whiplash injury from a car accident when it comes to attempting to claim compensation.
The survey conducted on GPs brings into light some shocking facts. A staggering 98% of GPs agreed that they had been witnesses to injury exaggeration by a patient to receive compensation. And, 65% of GPs testified to the fact that the number of people faking injury have rose over the past decade.
