Another plan offered is cover for contents removed from home. It provides cover up to limit shown in the policy for the damage or loss to the contents removed from the property. Cover for contents in transit to or from university or college offers cover for the damage or loss by the causes listed in the policy during the transit from university or college at the start or end of the vacation.

The other optional benefits provided by HSBC student insurance are Personal belongings cover, Pedal cycle and Personal computer equipment cover. The student insurance policy remains in force for 12 months from the date of commencement or until cancelled. Each renewal process represents a new 12 month policy. For cancellation or any other changes, the company offers 14 days’ time period to do so.
