• Optional extras : Optional extras are nothing but extra cover added on to a policy. This may include legal cover and breakdown cover. Some insurance companies also offer a courtesy car (like for a like car) cover in case of an accident to your car.


• Owner and registered keeper : Most often the owner and the registered keeper of a vehicle are the same person except in a few cases. The registered keeper is liable for licensing the vehicle and declaring it off the road; and for any enquiries from the police regarding driving and parking offences will be directed to them.
