  • Endorsement : An endorsement or a rider is a document attached to an insurance policy that amends the insurance policy by changing the coverage under the policy.

  • Excess : An excess is the amount you pay to the car insurer in case of any claim. If your excess is quoted at £200 then this is the amount that will be deducted from your claim amount. So, if the value of the claim is £500 then the car insurance company will pay you the amount after deducting your excess. So, here you will be paid £300 (£500-£200).
