Intelligence Speed Adaptation to Help Reduce Road Accidents

With many owners having their cars equipped with ISA or Intelligence Speed Adaptation, car Insurance claims are likely to fall drastically in the UK. The equipment as claimed by RoadSafe is an automatic system and doesn’t allow the driver to break speed limit.

A recently published report suggested that the latest technology could reduce traffic injuries and deaths by almost 29%. According to RoadSafe director Adrian Walsh, speeding and especially incorrect speeding is the most important cause for road deaths.

Car manufacturers should be encouraged to use the system, and car rental companies should immediately introduce the system in their cars once they are available. However, a note of caution has been issued by the Association of British Drivers that ISA might force motorists to use “foot-to-the-floor” driving for a false sense of security.
