High Prices Preventing Customers from Switching to a Greener Car
Car insurance customers in the UK wishing to save money could stop from upgrading their Cars to a greener one because of higher prices. TheGreenCarWebsite guide commented that when one compares the price between petrol and diesel cars to that of hybrid or electronic cars the difference is just too much for car owners. A survey suggested that one-third of British customers were interested in going green but were put off by the steep price. Faye Sunderland, editor of the website said that it is understood that more needs to be done to encourage customers to opt for the greener version. Another website What Car claimed that motorists can in fact reduce the harmful effect on the environment and also save money on the fuel by changing the way they drive and use their cars. By changing the gears in an intelligent way, one cut down use of fuel consumption by as much as 35 per cent. |
