Customer service is ridiculous! They are polite, but not exactly helpful. I was assured that my documents would be posted the day i took out the policy, by first class post as i needed them urgently. They never arrived, and when I rang I was told they were posted the day after using secod class! I was then told that for a £4.95 fee they could re send them special next day delivery. This option certainly wasnt made available when I started the policy, as I\'d have took it then. Also, given it was their mistake, I don\'t feel there should be a fee at all! It may seem like a relatively small matter, but I urgently needed the documents as I needed to re tax the caar and use it for work. I cancelled the policy and went with a local broker, who matched the AIG quote. When I cancelled with AIG, they did not even ask why I\'d like to cancel. They are a big company but you certainly get the impression that your business is not important to them. In the space of 72 hours, I spoke to at least 7 different people. I never made a claim, and so can\'t comment on claims handling. They are priced competetively, which is what the majority of us look for when choosing insurance, but I\'d not use ths company again.
