The latest research by AA Insurance reveals that motorists pay a much higher premium that uses their mobile phones while driving. Premiums jump by almost four times if you are caught using your mobile phone while driving.
Many motorists even find it difficult to have insurance cover if caught using a mobile phone while driving. However, motorists still continue to defy the law. A recent study shows that on an average 100,000 driver use their phones illegally while driving their car. This is very dangerous as it slows reflexes and reduces control of the steering. Insurance companies take such offences very seriously and in many cases even cancel or refuse a policy cover.
